My name is Tawanda “Michelle” Joseph, and serve as the Region 2 Deputy Regional Administrator with Washington State Department of Social and Health. I have been with Home and Community Services since 1996 in various capacities to include the Mail Clerk, Warrant Desk Technician, Receptionist, Financial Services Specialist 1-5 (Now Public Benet Specialist), Financial Eligibility Trainer, and in 2018 joined the EDAI team as a specialist assigned to Region 2 HCS/APS, and DSHS Equity, Diversity, Access, and Inclusion Administrator.

I am very proud of all positions in which I have served within ALTSA! This is something that is very important to remember… my history and where I came from. I hold a degree in Business Management as well as a Certied Project Manager, Certied Diversity Professional, Certied Diversity Executive, and a Master’s in Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instructional Design. I value my spirituality, family, and close long-term friendships. I recognize that being a leader is a privilege and what I do with that privilege has a lasting impact on others.
